The Artothèque is in fact an "open" Art museum whose collections are for public use in a unique fashion and a gathering place for artists.
The Artothèque's income comes from the generosity of the public, art rental and it's memberships. Profits finance "La Fondation des arts et métiers d'art du Québec".
The objectives of this activity are multiple and are summarized as follows:
* make Art accessible
* give talented artists a way to show their works
* be a didactic place for the community
The Arthotèque's collections consist of more than 5000 works of art which include: original prints, canvas, sculptures, installations and photography. |
